NERF City - connecting virtual and real world in a metaverse campaign

Use of meta-platforms in marketing has become a global trend for brands. However, many brands provide only one map and activity for players. NERF, on the other hand, demonstrated that there is potential for much more. Their campaign for Fortnite players featured multiple maps and activities within the NERF City, each with its unique theme and challenges connected by a storyline. This innovative campaign recently won the top award in the Golden Arrow competition. The primary challenge was to effectively engage the young audience using Fortnite, connecting various elements and platforms while conveying a cohesive message and telling a compelling story. The campaign aimed to boost awareness of NERF products, enhance the brand's image, and create daily excitement. Read more in this article.

In this project, I was responsible for:
- creation of graphics according to NERF brandbook
- preparation of graphics for the special website smyk.pl/nerfcity
- preparation of animations and overlay's for streamers
- making pictures in the game Fortnite
- documenting 2 camps for children who won in NERF City competitions
- preparation of video case study summarizing the campaign
